What We Do
ABA: Applied Behavior Analysis
Behavioral Momentum Services uses the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach and improve the level of functioning in children with autism and other developmental disabilities and disorders (eg, intellectual disability, ADHD). ABA is an evidence-based science treatment that has been shown to successfully decrease behavioral excess
(i.e., aggressive behaviors, tantrums, etc.) and deficits (no limited or limited expressive/receptive language, limited social skills and life skills, etc.). ABA is the only science evidence based intervention to deliver results. ABA uses a positive environment and rewards to teach children new skills. Therapy involves a breakdown of skills into small, discrete, measurable tasks.
What to Expect
While involved in the ABA therapy, your child will receive individualized treatment that promotes functional communication that will help your child reach their fullest potential. Your child will work with a 1:1 interventionist who is responsible for managing your child's individualized program. Your child will also have an ABA Supervisor who provides ongoing assessment of progress, needs, develops program objectives, ensures effective data collection, and implementation of teaching procedures. The ABA Supervisor will also train you so that learning can continue at home.
